This is part three in my review series on Glamglow mud masks. I am very lucky my generous friend Micaela was willing to lend these to me to review <3 If interested, you can find part one on Thirstymud over here and part two on Gravitymud here.
What does it do: “Provides gentle resurfacing exfoliation and helps to leave skin smoother, brighter, and softer resulting in immediate camera-ready glowing skin”
How much: $69 for 50g
Instructions: Apply a Thin Layer to Clean Face. Expect a Tingle-tastic Tightening Effect in 10 minutes or less. Remove Mask with Water in Circular Motions to exfoliate.
Amount: 50g or 1.7 oz for full size; 30g or 1 oz for the size in the photo.
I was definitely intrigued by the “tingle effect” that this mask is supposed to give. I love when you can feel that the product is actually working, so I was really excited to try this.
The mask has a minty scent that reminds me of tea. Which makes sense, since this mask has little bits of leaves mixed in with the mud. The mask has a gray-taupe color and a textured (because of the leaves and other exfoliants) but creamy consistency. It was still easy to apply to the face.
Almost immediately (okay, it took about a minute) after applying the mask to my face, I felt the tingling sensation! It felt cooling, yet strangely warming at the same time – if that makes any sense. I did also feel my skin start to tighten up a bit. I left the mask on for around 10 minutes, waiting for it to dry completely. The mask dries up into a grainy texture for exfoliating when rinsing the mask off.
After using, I noticed that my pores were definitely smaller and my face looked brighter and a lot smoother. In fact, my face was also soft to touch and felt amazing!

Overall – 4.25/5
I found using this mask to be quite the relaxing experience – the combined effect of the smell and the tingling sensation makes it perfect for an at-home pampering session! But really, this stuff works. It made my skin look and feel amazing in just a few minutes. My makeup also applied so much better after. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an exfoliating product that really delivers. While it’s not a miracle worker, it’s a great “pick-me-up” type of product that makes tired skin feel refreshed.
Will I purchase?
Should budget allow, I would definitely considering buying myself a full size to spoil myself! Yes, it is pricey but it’s high quality. Glamglow’s Youthmud is one of the few exfoliating products I’ve tried that works really well and gives great results 🙂
