Review: Watsons Face Mask in Aloe Vera (moisturizing)

What does it do: This specially formulated mask contains aloe vera extract and vitamin c to naturally whiten and moisturize your skin. Leaves your skin fairer and more radiant.

How much: Php 39

Instructions: Gently place mask over cleansed face. Leave for 15 – 30 minutes and then remove. Massage remaining fluid into face. No need to rinse. Discard mask after use.

Amount: 30 ml

Sheet masks are pretty common nowadays since the rise of Korean and Japanese skin care products. And while some masks can get pretty pricey, Watsons offers a great variety of masks at such an affordable price.

The first thing I noticed when I opened the packet was the smell. It wasn’t exactly a bad smell for me, nor was it a good one. It was slightly powdery and “clean” and also smelled slighting of rubbing alcohol. I was a little apprehensive with the alcohol smell.

The packet is also full of the mask essence. I’m not kidding! There was so much product that when I lifted the mask out, it was dripping all over the place. Things got a little messy for me hahaha. The essence feels slimey and thick to touch.

What’s nice about this mask compared to others that I’ve tried is that the mask almost perfectly fits my face. The only problem is that the hole for my mouth is a little bit too small. The mask is made of quite thick material so it doesn’t really slide around your face and has a pretty good grip.

While wearing the mask, I did experience some itching around my lips probably due to the fact that the mouth opening was really too small. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, then you know how sensitive my lips are. So that was something I didn’t particularly like.

After using the mask, my face did look brighter and smoother overall. I could definitely see it living up to the “fairer” and “more radiant” claim.

Ingredient List

Rating:
Packaging – 5/5
Price – 5/5
Effect – 4/5
Smell – 2/5
Overall – 4/5

Verdict: Overall, its a good mask. You definitely can’t beat the price. The only problem I had was the itching on my lips, but I think its a small problem. I can try to tear the mouth hole bigger if ever haha!

Will I repurchase?

I want to try their other variants first, but I will repurchase this again in the future.
