Product Review: Belo Essentials Day Cover Whitening Vitamin Cream SPF 15

Belo Essentials Day Cover Whitening Vitamin Cream SPF 15

Hey Everyone!

Believe it or not, this is actually the first time I tried a Belo product. I bought this after using the Loreal Hydrafresh mosturizer that I talked about in this post, since I figured I’d better switch moisturizers after my skin started freaking out. This was before I had visited a Dermatologist so I thought that my case was just a simple allergy and would go away when I switch products (FYI, it wasn’t just an allergy).

I figured since Belo is such a well known Dermatologist, anything she puts her name and brand on would be safe for me to try. Read on to see how my experience went.

What does it do: “Shields your skin from sun damage and aging with SPF 15, keeping it fair and protected. With Pentavitin and skin vitamins that moisturize. Hypoallergenic. Dermatologist tested. Paraben-free”

How much: Php 199.75

Instructions: ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Amount: 50g

This cream comes in a rather bulky, but sturdy hard plastic package. What I love however, is the fact that it comes with an additional plastic cover inside, and a spatula! This is so much more hygienic since you won’t be dipping your fingers into the pot directly and therefore keeps the rest of the product uncontaminated.

This product has a very feminine scent, a bit powdery and sweet, a little hard for me to really describe haha! It may bother some people who are not fond of products with scents, but personally I don’t find the smell overpowering – though it isn’t that subtle either.

The cream has a thick consistency, but absorbs well and feels light on the skin. It also does the job and moisturizes the skin and my skin did ease up a little at first. But eventually I had to stop using it when the “allergies” aka burns got worse. After my visit to the derma, I switched back to Olay for a bit (read more about that here) until my face cleared up.

However, I did continue to use it on my neck (with no issues at all) and as of now have since returned to using it on my face and it’s great! My skin is soft and feels moisturized. Let’s also not forget this has cream has SPF which is always a plus.

Rating:
Packaging – 4/5
Price – 5/5
Effect – 5/5
Smell – 3.5/5
Overall – 4.3/5

Verdict: Definitely a moisturizer worth trying out! I would not call this travel friendly since it is quite bulky, but the spatula and extra cover makes it hygienic. Also take into consideration that this is a perfumed product.

Will I repurchase? Yes, I would consider repurchasing this and also trying out other Belo products.
