The Face Shop Real Nature Mask (Pomegranate)

What does it do: A mask sheet with pomegranate extract (rich in Vitamin B1&B2). Gives elasticity and a “glossy” look.

How much: I recall I bought this at Php 65-75

Instructions: Apply toner on face prior to use. Apply mask for 15-20 minutes. Gently pat excess essence into skin until absorbed.

Amount: 20ml

Over the past few years, sheet masks have been becoming more and more popular thanks to the rise in  Korean beauty/skin care trends. I’ve tried a great number of sheet masks myself (I have a couple of reviews on this blog), but I had never tried one from The Face Shop until now.

What surprised me the most about this mask, was the great quality of the mask itself! It felt amazing to touch, and was neither too thin or too thick. It felt so luxurious while it was on and adhered to my face well. I was also happy to find that the nose portion was long enough to cover my nose, as I have a problem with other Korean masks being too short and only covering half my nose. Actually, the fit of the entire mask was perfect for my face (take note I have quite a long face) and was just comfortable to have on.

The essence had a wonderful berry scent that mostly reminded me of grape juice. It didn’t smell like pomegranate to me, but no complaints as it smelled very nice. The essence was quite light (it wasn’t too thick) and absorbed into my skin easily. My face felt very refreshed afterward, but I noticed no immediate effect or change in my skin after application. The next day though, I did notice that my skin was smooth and glowing.

Rating:
Packaging – 5/5
Price – 4/5
Effect – 4/5
Smell – 5/5
Overall – 3.6/5

Verdict:
I feel that other masks can give the same effect or better and for a lesser price. The quality of the mask sheet however, is amazing and definitely a great selling point.

Will I repurchase?
I think I would, though perhaps more for the mask sheet itself rather than the essence. I’m kind of 50-50 on this.

What do you think? Have you tried masks from The Face Shop? Love to hear your thoughts!
