Hello everyone,
I’m back this time with a post on most (I’ve forgotten and accidentally thrown some away, if not a good lot of them) of the products I’ve used up in 2013. These are mostly beauty, skin care and bath related stuff 🙂
Lets start off with the beauty products:
Etude House Oh m’Eye Lash (Double Up Volume)
Pretty okay mascara, gives enough volume to make you look awake but still keeping the lashes looking natural.
Etude House Oh m’Eye Lash (Curling and Clean)
This did nothing special for my lashes, but it did hold a curl pretty decently.
Maybelline Long Extreme Stiletto Mascara
This is one of my favorite mascaras! The formula is pretty dry, but it gives a really nice volumizing effect that doesn’t clump your lashes. And it’s waterproof! I wouldn’t say that this mascara gives an amazing lengthening effect though.
Human Nature Mineral Blush (Tropical Rose)
Okay, so I didn’t really finish this one but I dropped it and it broke! I didn’t bother to fix it anymore since the pieces got dirt in it already and it’s all gross. But I like this product and I’ve already bought a replacement 🙂
Naturals by Watsons Lip Balm (Plum Black Tea)
My favorite lip balm! Holy grail item for me since it doesn’t trigger my lip allergy and in fact helps soothe the drying effect my lips get with the allergy. I’ve raved all about this product in a separate post in case you’re interested 🙂
Etude House Dream On Pact Slim & Cover SPF 25 (#3 True Beige)
Yes, there’s a little bit left but I decided to already include it in this post. I love the packaging of this because it’s so pretty and princess-like. The product gave sheer coverage but definitely helped smooth and even out my skin.
Next we have Skin Care, Bath and everything else:
Etude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam
I got this as a product sample and I loved it. I bought the full size (which I’m using now) soon after.
Ponds Lemon Cold Cream
This is what I used to use before I switched to Etude’s Cleansing Cream. This one hurt my eyes! I wasn’t a big fan of the smell also. But it’s cheap and does the job.
Dove Facial Wipes (Fresh Red)
I bought a couple of these to try out and at first they smelled nice, like a light powdery scent. But as I used it more and more the smell just started to get to me, and now I sneeze whenever I smell it. Its a decent face wipe, but won’t do the job if you’re wiping makeup off.
Glam Works Chin & Forehead Cleansing Strips
These didn’t work for me. I don’t know if it’s that my chin and forehead just don’t have gunk in them (I wish), or if these strips just don’t work.
Jergens Lotion (Original Scent)
Look at the condition of that bottle! I kept this in my handbag, and lord knows what goes on in there. I liked the smell of this lotion (almond and cherry), but it didn’t absorb very well into the skin.
Glam Works The Vert Green Tea Hand Cream
The smell of this lotion was amazing! It smelled expensive hehe. It absorbed into my hands better than the Jergens one.
Silk Secrets Organics Facial Wipes (Apricot and Aloe Vera)
These are the facial wipes that I used prior to the Dove ones and I’ve gone back to using these. They have a softer and more subtle scent and can remove makeup. I use these if I’m out and I want to remove my makeup already, then I just wash my face when I get home.
Beauty Buffet and Watsons facial Masks
Just some face masks I picked up from Watsons. Pretty good I must say. I’m planning to review these individually soon.
Etude House Hand Bouquet Rich Butter hand Cream
I loved this! It had a soft rose scent that’s very feminine and girly. It makes your hands feel so soft and absorbs into the skin very well.
Watsons Deep Cleansing Nose Pore Strips
I’ve tried a number of Nose Strips, but I always come back to this one. It removes the dirt from your pores and makes your skin feel clean and smooth. Full review in this post. They’ve changed the packaging though and added some other variants to the line.
The Body Shop Body Butter (Spiced Vanilla and Candied Ginger)
Yes, this is from their Limited Edition Christmas line that comes out every year. I had these from I think two years ago? Gosh. I liked these scents, but I prefer the Cranberry one. These butters are pretty thick and are definitely suited to colder weather.
Victoria’s Secret Body Wash (Mandarin Orange)
This one smelled like ORANGES, no kidding. I wasn’t a big fan of smelling like orange, but I have to say this body wash lathered up really well. Made me feel very clean. Took ages to finish because you don’t need to use a lot of product.
The Body Shop Shower Gel (Lime and Coconut)
I got this ages ago and I’m glad I finally used it up! It’s hard to describe the scent of this one as it wasn’t a very feminine scent. I’d probably describe it as a Tropical scent.
The Body Shop Shower Gel (Moringa)
This one smelled very floral.
The Body Shop Shower Gel (Wild Cherry)
This one definitely smelled like cherries! Not sweet ones, but a stronger deeper scent.
Watsons Cream hand Soap (Honey & Milk and Strawberries & Cream)
I found the strawberry scented one a little sickening. I liked the honey one though.
Etude House Nail Color Remover
It’s acetone free! It smelled like grape fruit! It didn’t dry out my nails! I love this.
SureAid Foot Deodorant Spray (Lavender)
Sometimes when I get caught in floods and my feet get soaked they tend to smell (eww I know). This product helps a lot.
