Product Review: Redwin Vitamin E Cream with Evening Primrose Oil

redwin vitamin e cream with evening primrose oil

Hi Everyone!

Today I’ll be sharing what I’ve been calling a “miracle cream”. This was given to me by the dermatologist after my mishap with another moisturizer (read about that here). She said this is much more moisturizing and would help my skin overcome the dryness. Read on below for my review on the Redwin Vitamin E Cream with Evening Primrose Oil.

What does it do: “An effective moisturizer that can reduce the visible signs of ageing including fine lines, wrinkles and pigmentation. Vitamin E is known as a wound healer to the skin. Enriched with vitamin e and evening primrose oil, this luxurious cream will leave your skin looking and feeling hydrated, revitalized and healthy. The unique formula has been specially developed for sensitive skin to assist in preventing the visible irritations associated with dry and/or sensitive skin.”

How much: around $3+ AUD for a 300g tub on Health 365 ‘s site.

Instructions: “Use twice daily for maximum results, particularly after showering or exposure to wind or sun or after washing hands” (from their website) I was instructed to use this morning and night after the medicinal cream and my usual moisturizer, and as needed during the day when my skin gets dry.

Amount: 300g tub (sample size shown in picture)

This amazing product can be used for both face and body, and is great for dry and sensitive skin. It’s very moisturizing and absorbs into the skin very easily. I only needed a very small amount for my whole face, so a full tub would last practically forever.

It has a bit of a thick consistency, but does not feel sticky or heavy on the skin. It also has a light scent that reminds me a bit of powder and smells really nice.

Within just a day of using this, the improvement was unbelievable! Even my colleagues noticed that my skin looked so much better. The dry patches were a lot less, and my skin looked less irritated.

As I continued using it for around a week or so, I noticed that my skin looked amazing. It was supple and smooth, my pores were smaller as well. It helped heal my skin from the irritation and dryness.

I continue to use this on dry patches I have occasionally. It really works wonders!

Rating:
Packaging – 4/5
Price – 5/5
Effect – 5/5
Smell – 5/5
Overall – 4.75/5

Verdict: I absolutely adore this Redwin cream! I love that it’s moisturizing enough for your whole body, but gentle enough for your face. A little really goes a long way with this. The only downside is that the price is ridiculous here in the Philippines. This tiny sample cost me Php 300, when the full sized tub would have been around the equivalent of Php 150 at the current exchange rate with AUD. I’ve read that this Redwin cream has also worked wonders for people with eczema. While I do occasionally have an eczema flare up, I’ve been fortunate not to have any at the time of this writing – so I haven’t had the opportunity to test it for that. I’ll update this should I get the chance to try it on eczema.

Will I repurchase? YES! If you have a friend or relative in Australia or visiting, ask them to get this for you. Though personally when I run out of this and no one is going to Australia… I do actually think I might be crazy enough to buy a tub of this from an online seller here in the Philippines (!!!!). It’s that good. FYI, I saw someone selling this for 800 PHP (full size) on Shopee. I wasn’t kidding when I said ridiculous pricing.

Do you suffer from dry skin? What products are lifesavers for you? Let me know about it in the comments below! Thank you for reading! <3

  1. Hello, Tasha …
I am Joy, just turned 73 (secret,ok) … I desired to have a clean face, so went to a dermatologist … yes, the one you have on the pic had me for 800pesos … crazy!! but I want to try and might be the first and the last, rather expensive. The MD dermatologist prescribed me another one for 400php, kindly check on this … it’s LAB|46 – REMARKABLE FACE RADIANCE CREAM, with skin whitening, moisturizing and lifting properties, massage upwards on cleaned and toned face and neck before starting your day, for all skin types, 20g …
Thanks I found this blog … keep me posted … blessings…

    1. Hi Joy! Thank you for dropping by 🙂 I’m afraid I haven’t actually heard of the cream you mentioned. But I did try to search about it and their Facebook page says “The Remarkable Face Radiance Line takes away old, blemished skin to give way to a new whiter, younger complexion. It is also rich in antioxidants and age-reducing components to attain a healthy radiant glow.” So I think it would probably be suitable for your skin 🙂 I also checked on mims.com (a drug website) and they indicated that it “Helps smoothen, brighten & clarify complexion especially after dermatological procedures.” The mims website did mention for directions to “Massage onto clean skin at night.” and to use a sunscreen in the morning. This makes me think that it may have some ingredients that might react with sunlight. Might want to check with your derma since I’m not too sure on that 🙂 I always suggest that if you want to use a new product, it might be best to test it on a small patch of skin first to be sure, just in case your skin would react to it. As for the Redwin cream I wrote about, it’s so much cheaper in Australia! If you know someone there or visiting, try to ask them to get some for you 😉 I hope I was able to help somehow… Hope it works out! 🙂
