Product Review: Etude House Damask Rose Mask

Hi Everyone!

I’ve always been a little addicted to sheet masks. Ever since they hit the scene years ago, sheet masks have always been such an easy way to pamper yourself and perk your skin up.

The first sheet mask I tried was from Etude House and since then, they’ve always been one of my favorite brands. Now a few months ago, I mentioned that I did a skincare haul (read that post here) and one of my purchases was Etude’s Damask Rose face mask. Today I’ll be reviewing it and telling you about my experience.

What does it do: “Keeps skin moisturized for long hours by providing instant moisture and vitality to tired skin.”

How much: Php 78 in Etude House stores

Instructions: “Apply toner to skin after cleansing. Remove mask from pouch and apply to face, placing mask to fit eye and lip area; remove after 10-20 minutes and light massage remaining solution into skin.”

Amount: 20ml

Right off the bat I’m going to say that this was a very wet mask. Yes, I know it’s the mask essence (duh) but really the sheet itself seemed to be holding so much more product than other masks I’ve encountered. There were also bubbles on the surface haha! That aside, the sheet mask was made of a very thin material – almost like I was holding wet paper. This made it very lightweight and easy to put on. The mask adhered very well to my skin and didn’t feel heavy, nor did it peel off my face at anytime (because I don’t lie down while wearing masks, I’m usually doing other things as well lol).

The mask had a very light floral scent to it. It was so subtle that I hardly noticed it. I really think those who are sensitive to scented products won’t encounter a problem with this mask 🙂

After use, my face definitely looked a bit more radiant and moisturized. My skin was also smooth to touch and looked refreshed.

Rating:
Packaging – 5/5
Price – 3.5/5 (a bit pricey, but you can get it cheaper from online)
Effect – 4/5
Smell – 5/5
Overall – 4.3/5

Verdict: I enjoyed this mask and was very happy with the material the sheet mask was made of. It’s definitely better than some of their older masks and than other masks out there. Though I personally find it a little pricey, so I’d prefer to buy it online (aren’t we all a bit stingy?). Though for the quality of the sheet, maybe I shouldn’t complain.

Will I repurchase? Yes, I will! 🙂
